Leo, Vanessa, Angus & Claire Herbert


Leo is passionate about running a family-owned agribusiness. He leads the strategic direction of Karrawarra, driving productivity across both livestock and cropping operations. By surrounding the business with top performers in their fields, Leo ensures Karrawarra continues to deliver genetics that drive commercial success for clients.

Vanessa oversees marketing, data management and administration, ensuring the smooth running of the business behind the scenes. She also plays an active role on the farm when needed.

Angus plays an integral role across the stud and commercial sheep flocks, cattle, and cropping enterprises. He oversees the collection of on-farm data, ensuring accuracy and consistency across all operations to support informed decision-making and genetic progress.

Claire is currently studying a Bachelor of Animal Science at the University of New England in Armidale. With a strong interest in breeding and genetics, she brings fresh insight and emerging industry knowledge, contributing to the ongoing advancement of the stud’s genetic program.
